The holidays are over

Now that I have survived the holidays, it is time to focus on my goals for 2011.  I have been thinking and my plan will be a duathlon in May, 5k in May (local one that we enjoy), 2 or 3 mini triathlons in summer, sprint tri in September, Hartford CT half marathon in October and (hopefully) the Disney half next January!
Running has been good as of late.  The cold thing I had finally left and I have been back on pace.  I did 5 miles on Christmas eve, beautiful weather, 34 and sunny; and I got 4.75 in on the treadmill today.  We are having a snow storm with high winds and blizzard warnings, so the treadmill was the best option.  Chris, my husband is running the goofy challenge in Disney in less than 2 weeks and I am praying for good weather and clear skies for marathon weekend!

  1. So glad that you are over the cold!

I like your goals for 2011 and going in to 2012. The Disney half next January - very exciting - you'll love it :)!

Thanks for the good weather wishes - I'm very nervous based on the forecasts right now. Warm, almost too warm and the threat of rain right now! Keep thinking those good thoughts for us :)!

  2. With a schedule like that, I'm going to have to take the year off so you can train! :-)

  3. Awesome goals. If you are a USAT member instead of paying for it per race is cheaper, and you get this great quarterly magazine.
Plus if you do 6 races weather it is Duathlons or tri's. You can place in your age group,or whatever category you choose to be in.In 09' I was second in the Athena duathlon.
Half at Disney 2012, sweet!! Glad you are feeling better!
